Kangana Ranaut Criticizes ‘Negative’ Media Coverage: ‘Everyone I Encounter in My Personal and Professional Life Regards Me Positively’

On Tuesday, popular actor Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram Stories to share some concerning media reports about her. These reports were quite negative and even went so far as to label her films as ‘flops’. In response, Kangana expressed her frustration with what she referred to as a ‘paid’ attack. She strongly pointed out that these so-called ‘flop’ films of hers had actually performed well at the box office. What seemed to trouble her most was not anger toward the so-called ‘movie mafia,’ but rather a question about the continuous need to tarnish her reputation through biased media coverage.

Kangana didn’t stop at just sharing her frustration; she also shed light on the sentiments of those who work closely with her. She mentioned that the people who truly know her or have collaborated with her consistently hold a different view. They see her as an exceptional professional and a remarkable actor, director, and artist. Kangana emphasized that she hears this positive feedback on a daily basis from everyone she encounters in her professional journey. She even highlighted that those who work with her go out of their way to express their admiration for her to the media. Despite these affirmations, the negative narrative in the media keeps growing, leading Kangana to call it ‘propaganda.’

In another note, Kangana contemplated the situation, expressing that she doesn’t harbor anger toward the so-called ‘movie mafia.’ Instead, she empathized with what it must feel like to live with such intense insecurity and anxiety. She even questioned the kind of suffering they might be going through and compared it to a living hell. Kangana also admitted that these individuals hardly cross her mind unless she comes across hurtful news that aims to tarnish her character or spread malicious perceptions about her career. She found it intriguing that someone could be so passionately focused on her all the time, suggesting that perhaps there’s a thin line between hate and love.

Kangana’s interactions with the media often touch upon her concerns about nepotism in the film industry, and she’s been quite vocal about her thoughts on the ‘insider vs outsider’ debate. Her upcoming projects include her directorial venture, “Emergency,” in which she will portray former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, and Shreyas Talpade in significant roles.

Additionally, Kangana has several exciting projects in the pipeline, including “Tejas” and “Chandramukhi 2,” which is the sequel to the hit Tamil horror-comedy “Chandramukhi.” Recently, the first look of Kangana as Chandramukhi in the sequel was unveiled, generating much anticipation among her fans and the audience.
